Last day

I have been watching my friend Jackie cute little ones now for over a year. And we had our last day with them last week. We have had so much fun doing art, lots of dance time, garden time, and a lot of playing in the yard. Jade is Ari's little girlfriend they are only 3 days apart and they love each other. Jade was famous for falling asleep anywhere. Here are some great pics I took.

New Summer Garden

So we are all excited about this years summer garden. I wish we had more space to plant more veggies but we are happy with what we have growing. We have 5 different tomato plants, bell peppers, a jalapeno plant, carrots lots of them, watermelon, Armenian cucumber, squash & arugula and of course our herb garden too. The kids love watching everything grow and they are learning so much from having a garden. Yesterday we picked some red potatoes out from memas garden and Kaela ate 4 of them just heated up with some butter. They are eating so much more greens now that we play, work and eat in the garden. Love it! Here are some pics of what we have this year.

Our Garden

So we have been working in our garden and the girls have already forgot what we had in our winter garden so I showed them some pictures of what we had been growing. We grew Kale, Lettuce & peas. Our winter garden thrived so we hope our summer one will do the same. Today we will plant Peppers, and maybe some melon.

So today the girls said a couple of really funny things to me. First Kaela said to me out of nowhere, "Other moms are old mom and your young but that's ok because God made them that way." I explained to her that I was pretty young when I had her and most mommies are a bit older when they have their first baby and she looked at me all puzzled and said hmmm ok. So I take that as a complement that I still look young. And then in the car Mara heard the song "Mighty to Save" and asked me, how does God move the mountains so I kinda explained Grace, Forgiveness and how God saves us he created the earth ect. So then she said, " So when I am at the polices home in his cage then God will save me, right mom?" I laughed and said I hope you will never be in jail Mara but yes He would because His grace is never-ending!! LOL they crack me up! Ok I just can't forget Ari now. He has been talking more and more lately and his favorite words are mommy, wiener, poop and potty. Yes he is 100% boy.

My first Blog Post

So I have been inspired by my sister Teresa, Robin and Nicole to start up a blog. I thought what a better way to keep family and friends informed on our families adventures, day to day routines and funny stories we always have from the kids. So this is my first blog and I decided to share one of our latest happenings from the Babasin Kin. I chose the word Kin because of it's meaning (oh and it rhymes) it means group of people related by blood or marriage and family. We are Kin and we love each other so very much.
We have started our summer garden which has been a fun thing for us. We decided to start it from seeds this year and it didn't turn out too good because as soon as we planted the seeds I turned my back and ALL 3 kids were throwing the soil around right where we planted all the seeds so all that has sprouted has been carrots and green beans. The kids don't seem to notice that they haven't sprouted they have been so excited about the strawberries we have been growing. They have been able to pick a couple all ready this year. We will buy some other veggies to plant them in this weekend. We have so much planed for the summer. We are planning hikes, river days, beach days, camping and Lake Tahoe for 2 weeks. So I will have lots to write about. Each year I will create a photo book of my blog to save these memories. (My friend Nicole will help me with that)
